After my first trailer for the science-fiction epic The Expanse went viral and the eventual success of the incredible fan-campaign to save the series from cancellation, I wanted to produce another trailer to celebrate the revival of the show.
As I did not have much time to conduct a thorough screening process of the series for the first trailer, I recruited a number of my fellow fans to help me pore through the 30+ episodes of the series to find the best shots and dialogue to help construct a comprehensive narrative for the piece. It took several weeks of screening, editing, and re-editing, resulting in perhaps the most polished and cohesive edit I had done til that point.
Additionally, we had the honor of working with Elias Toufexis, a brilliant voice actor famous for his roles as Adam Jensen in the Deus Ex video-game series and King Leonidas in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, to narrate parts of the trailer (particularly the introduction). Elias's connection to the show was his role as the spy Kenzo in Season 1 and his subsequent motion-capture work for the later seasons.
