Embrace Challenge - Play & Parkour in NYC is a short documentary I shot and edited for The Movement Creative that attempts to capture the feeling of their class training sessions.
TMC is an organization that takes a new approach at teaching movement. Most of their members and instructors are practitioners of Parkour, the French movement discipline that has become globally popular in recent years. Drawing from these techniques, TMC runs both free and paid sessions and partners with schools to change physical education in NYC.
In this documentary co-founder Nikkie Zanevsky, instructor Scott Olsen, and two students share their perspectives on what parkour is and how it can be made accessible to everyone - regardless of age, gender, or physical fitness.
